Better Transparency

I’ve come to realize that the transparency into our company and who we are is a tad anemic. In our ‘Company Info’ section, it describes our philosophy briefly as well as mentions the names of the people on our team. We’ve received a lot of feedback from users wondering if we are a giant company or a couple of trolls in a leaky basement and so on. We’re somewhere between actually, but more on that later.

Our company is made up of great people and there’s no reason to keep them under wraps. Were also very aware of that fact that we don’t have the clout and brand recognition of a Google or Microsoft, therefore we need to do a better job at gaining your trust.

All that being said, we would really like to get your feedback as to what type of information you would like us to include in this section which would help us gain your trust and respect. We are planning on putting our pictures and a brief description of our job/expertize but I’m assuming that there is more stuff that you guys would like to know. Please feel free to leave a comment on this blog to do so, thanks.

Good to know that. For storage services and related, the trust is very important, for most people, including me. :)
    Thanks.

Putting up pictures and describing expertise would be the minimum.

The things that most companies’ info pages lack are what allows the customer to identify with the team’s members.
I’d like to know the team members’ interests/hobbies.
I’d like to possibly hear their personal motto.
I’d like to see them as they really are as people
I’d like to know what they do for your company.
I’d like to see pictures of them, which are great to look at, somehow out of the ordinary.

    Phew.

    It’s not over yet though:
One way of doing it is to have portraits of all of you, and a box which pops up on mouseover, showing all the detail and description. Then it might even all fit in the lovely square layout of the page.

    Another phew.

I hope I helped you in your quest for eternal customer trust.

Dropboks is the most useful new thing I have found on the internet for years.
Thank you for such a superb tool.
