The Big Push

Ok, so on Wed we pushed the new some major updates. The most notable being our ‘Multi’ feature that we’ve been working on for a while. In case you’re not familiar with this feature it basically allows you to select as many files as you like at once, thus no longer needing to tediously select files one by one. Also associated with this release is the progress bar for file uploads. No more spinning icon, now you can know the exact status of your files while they are uploading.

During this push we encountered a few bugs which we, for the most part, have fixed. There are a few users out there who are still experiencing some weird upload issues (we’re currently working with them to fix these), but for the most part everyone should be good to go.

We’ll be sending out our official newsletter letting everyone know about the new release. Ooh, almost forgot, there are a few minor updates as well, leave a comment if you can spot them ;)

    - New loading spinny thing.
    - New message when logged out.
    - Public links as paid option (when that becomes available).

    Anyone else see anything?

    Not sure what other things are new, But These are the features I’m hoping for, Simple and Basic!

    - Able to shift, or ctrl key multiple files

    - Drag the actual DropBoks Box to be larger
    - Files are shaded gray every other color (Concept)

    - Ability to actually change Line Spacing (words are Noticeably squishing together)

    Hey, whenever I try to login I just get booted back to the login box after a few seconds of the spinny load icon. I’ve had an account for over a year, and this has never happened before. Any idea why or when it will be fixed?

    oh man, the multiple upload is PERFECT! Thank you for your hard work on this. It’s better than I thought. I really like the idea of just having to select all that you want rather than having to add each one, and then bulk upload.

    Very nice work! Thank you again for this service. It’s the best one out there.

    I’m not sure whether it happens on others

    But i noticed that, after i hovered the ‘More’ menu, the link highlight wouldn’t disappear for some time.

    Perhaps you guys would need to look into it…

    It happens frequently in Firefox.

    It just a recommendation here…

    You guys have made clean up for the whole interface, so, i guess the size of the DropBoks perhaps can be larger like…1cm larger for both height and width.

    But, everything is working fine for me so far.

    Did i say that i like you guys? Damn, that’s so cool. I really like it.

    What’s up next? I would like some kind of API to integrate it with a desktop application uploader. And i would like the possibility to overwrite files.

    It sure looks nifty, but my file won’t upload. It just stops at “Downloading…”. I run Firefox 2 in Ubuntu Linux. Would hate to have to give up DropBoks… any hope of a fix?

    @ Helena

    Ubuntu users were experiencing some bugs. We reverted the new upload feature so that now your uploads will work. Sorry for any hassle.
