You May Have Noticed Some Changes
So last week we finished our release of the ‘Multi’ feature. This allows you to select multiple files at the same time instead of one by one. This is a HUGE time saver when you are uploading more than one file. This feature also included progress bars for each file during upload. There were also some smaller clean-up type stuff that were added as well which you may notice. Hope you guys like it. Please let us know your thoughts
P.S. Some of you may notice that this entry is very similar to ‘The Big Push’. This is because we have now integrated the blog to the notice on the front page. Now everyone will see DropBoks News/Blog postings when they visit the site. We wanted all users to know about the new features, not just our blog followers.

This new update is wonderful….thank you!
Thanks for the updates, I’m loving the multi file upload feature.
Hi! Great work guys!
The new “Multi” function is a real help since I often have to update several files in a folder on a daily basis. With this new feature I can do all the updating necessary and then upload all the updated files at once into my DropBoks storage. It’s efficient, stable and time-saving. Thank you!
Yea…Cool!…I like it!
Thanks for this wonderful support…!!!
Thank You so much, this makes it so much easier to use. Great Site, and keep up the good work!
Fantastic! Thank You! I wouldn’t mind having to pay a small fee for this site. I like it the simplicity that much!
Fantastic. This is must easier to use. It’s a great site. I tell it all my friends
Wonderful. Best news I’ve heard today. I use dropboks all the time, and the multiple file select feature was the only thing that dropboks needed to make it better.
Way to keep things simple in a time period when nothing is anymore. . .
the added multi upload tingy was a great help its so much more convenient and time friendly to upload. great job
You have made a site that is easy to use. This is refreshing.
I use it all the time.
Hi Guys,
This is a wonderful little application and I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the help that it has extended to me.
All my ebook transfers from medicine to Tolkien to Engineering Design etc etc are done in a fluidic way with Dropboks.
Way to go guys!!!!
As much as I like the improvements (and I do) I’d be grateful for an approximate schedule for introducing/implementing the desktop synching upgrade. Reading the rave reviews by beta testers I’m all the more frustrated that I haven’t been accepted yet as tester, although I signed up about a month ago.
Other than that: congratulations and thanks!
The javascript upgrades are nice as far as aesthetics go, and the functionality is great on most computers.
However…
The one reason I chose this service over others is because of the truly barebones simplicity…I could access my files from most any computer/browser/OS without compatibility issues. With the most recent changes, that isn’t true anymore. It’s now impossible to upload files from this ancient computer I use on occasion. I’ll have to download drivers to make an old flash drive work to pull out some of these big files.
Might I suggest a selectable option for the old list/upload page when people like me may need it? Just a thought. The service is still the best out there.
I’ve been waiting for the multi feature.
Sweet! Thanks for the hard work in implementing these updates.
better than zip and upload it!
Thanks.
love it thank you makes it much more manageable
Gr8 guys… thanks a lot….!!!!
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! The multiple file upload feature is the GREATEST!
Thank you!
The multi upload feature is really fantastic!!
At first I thought it would be just like providing multiple browse buttons to upload file, but this is way 2 convenient.
It sure gets you off the habit of zipping files and uploading a zip file. Bandwidth efficient too as I can selectively download rather than download an entire zip file when all I need is just one file!!
Way 2 go Folks!!
Cheers,
Sam.
Wishlist – A way I could download an entire folder. That would make Dropboks perfect for all my needs!!!!
I second ^^^^^
bulk download ftw!
Hi. What a fabulous little application! So glad I found it. One thing, the “multi” feature works when I’m using Windows, but at home I use Puppy Linux 3.01 as my operating system with Seamonkey as my browser, and am still having to use the old single file select system. Any way it can be upgraded for us Linux users?
@Mark Jones
We are working on this now. For some reason Ubuntu Firefox wasn’t liking the upgrade.
Very very good. Thanks
Me and the teammembers use DropBox for sharing photo’s we make during races with our motorbiketeam. No more hassle with mem sticks, burning cd’s etc.
I love DropBox, keep up the good work
cool
hello as you know are very good and it’s good dropboks change followed boys who do a good job but something that I do not like is that having to pay
Yes, no coments. I think that it will good, 1gb free.
Multiple Uploading is great
BUT…
It would be ever greater if you could provide Multiple DOWNLOADING of files as well.
Thank You!!!!
@Kate
We’re working on that now
Luke
Wonderful idea both of multiple uploads and downloads!! You guys are great!
I couldn’t be happier with this service whose best aspect is its simplicity. Personally I would opt for the $1/mo. with some increase in storage. Thanks for this beauty!
Great changes made.
Speed for uploading and opening files is great.
Multiple file selection is awesome.
Can the “dropboks” window be larger?
Is there a plan for “dropboks” to compare new upload to existing files in a folder to prevent duplicates? Duplicates can be OK… but the window to view files is so small that it is not easy to see file attributes… like date, type etc.
keep up the great work.
definitely a time saver. Great work! Thank you
multiple download would be appreciated tooooo
